With the success of last year’s show and an attendance of over 20,000 people over the two days, The Asian Bride Show is the annual extravaganza for Asian bridal inspiration and this year it took over the two main halls at Wembley Stadium. The highlights of this year’s show was the bridal wear runway show. The fashion show took place in The Great Hall showcasing the very best in Asian bridal fashion and jewellery.
Fashion & Stars Thrill Visitors To The Asian Bride Show 2011
The entertainment line-up at The Asian Bride Show 2011 was a who’s who of the best artists on the music scene. With the likes of Raghav, Navin Kundra, Juggy D, Rishi Rich and H Dhami serenading the crowds, it was an extravaganza not to be missed.
Thousands of visitors came to the spectacular Wembley Stadium in North London over the weekend of 22nd and 23rd January 2011 to revel in a feast of music, dance, celebrity signings and, of course, to get inspiration for their big day.
Leading titles, Asian Woman Magazine (www.asianwomanmag.com) and Asian Bride Magazine (www.asianbridemag.com) with a readership of over 100,000 readers each, brought you a fantastic show for the fourth year running.
Over the two days Wembley Stadium housed the best bridal brands, products and services from around the world under one roof. With over 200 exhibitors, from designers, photographers, Mandaps, make-up artists, cars, cakes, caterers, beauticians and much, much more, The Asian Bride Show had everything for the discerning bride. Visitors were also treated to beauty makeovers, health and well-being clinics, a live Asian Woman photo shoot and Asian Woman and Asian Bride giveaways.
Guinness Record Holder Pavan showed off her world-class (not to mention speedy) Mehndi skills, as she got creative with visitor’s hands, arms and legs!
Fashion lovers enjoyed seven free Catwalk shows, four on the Saturday and three on the Sunday, as the best in bridal haute couture from the UK and abroad showcased the latest trends in the majestic Great Hall. Some of the top designers exhibiting were: Vasansi Jaipur, PFS Designers, Shoffa Jewellers and Textiles, Reet by Zariyahs, Prince Fashion and Shanaiya. Grooms clothing came from Sherwanis by Venisons. The fabulous jewellery was from Krishna Gift House.
Not content with just having the best in bridal, The Asian Bride Show also featured renowned artists from the Asian music scene all performing live. Amongst the top acts were Canadian singer Raghav, who wowed the crowds with his classic Angel Eyes. Also on the bill was Juggy D, Navin Kundra, H Dhami, Mumzy, girl band Serese and music maestro Rishi Rich. Other acts included dance performances by KSpark Entertainment, Miss J – the first female Dhol player (Dholly), and Ministry Of Dhol, who got the crowd moving with a rousing Bhangra set.
