Jai Amore: Radar
Jai Amore’s being doing his thing for a while now.
Jai Amore’s profile exploded after winning a MOBO award for best unsigned act.
Since then he has worked with many well known acts including Chipmunk, Joe Budden, Lil Wayne, Juelz Santanna and is currently working with Amy Winehouse’s label Lioness on new signing Zalon Thompson.
The singer, writer, producer and entertainer has had international success as far a field as Japan and India.
He has also been working closely with some of the UK’s best know producers and beat makers. These include Bless Beats (Wiley), D-Boy (So Solid) and Show n Prove (Tinchy Stryder) to name a few
With an ever growing support from fans – and many awaiting his new new full studio album, Jai Amore is releasing “RADAR” on 27th October 2010.
The Mixup have been lucky enough to get a preview of the mixtape and can say it should more than keep fans happy until the release of the new full studio album.
What makes Jai Amore stand out from the current crowd of pop R&B crooners is that he doesn’t follow what is popular at the moment but follows his own trusted style that is more influenced by late 90’s, early noughties artists such as 112, Ginuwine, Jagged edge and Usher.
The tracks ‘Masseuse‘ and the title track ‘RADAR‘ as well as ‘Serenading the Blues‘ (the latter using the backing track from Asher Roth’s G.R.I.N.D) are the stand out tracks on this mixtape for me.
The title track ‘Radar‘ is a just perfect to be danced to on night club floors. Uptempo and catchy, with the right push this track should do very well.
The mixtape features Chipmunk, Joe Budden, Strikey and more.
The productions is a nice mix of original beats and popular backing tracks from the likes of Kanye West’s Power, Ginuwine’s Pony and more.
This full length mixtape is GOOD and is actually one of my favourite pop R&B albums I have heard this year.
I look forward to the new album, that is long over due from Jai Amore but until then he’s given us something to keep playing in our stereo’s or MP3 players. Look out for the interview coming soon!
