The wonderful Björn Again are confirmed to perform on The Main Stage on Saturday 14th July. Created and founded by director and musician Rod Stephen, Bjorn Again was designed as a rocked-up light-hearted satirical ABBA spoof – which has achieved world-wide cult status since its inception in 1988. The show is widely acknowledged for singlehandedly initiating the ABBA revival which brought about ABBA Gold, Muriel’s Wedding and MAMMA MIA! The enduring appeal of ABBA is reflected in the ongoing success of the Björn Again show, which has amassed an enormous 4,700 performances in 70 countries over 24 years.
Dodgy will be performing on The Good Time Guide Stage on Sunday 15th July. With 12 top 40 singles and 3 top 10s, including catchy hits “Staying out for the Summer” and “Good Enough” (the latter still a staple of radio playlists), Dodgy can lay claim to selling over 1 million albums to date. Their brand new album, “Stand Upright in a Cool Place was released to critical acclaim summer 2011, and they have since toured the UK with their new material. Organisers welcome them to GuilFest for the first time since 2008 for what will no doubt be a show to remember.

Best known for his enormous hits “My Coo-Ca-Choo”, “Jealous Mind”, and “Pretend”, the pop icon with the leather glove (and catsuit) shot to fame with a raft of moody hits with impossibly catchy choruses. One of the first rockers in the UK, he idolised Elvis, toured with Joe Brown, Eden Kane and Billy Fury, amongst others, and turned up at Buddy Holly gigs as a callow youth clutching a £1.50 guitar!
Hotly tipped South London based indie/RnB outfit Bastille will appear on The Good Time Guide Stage on Saturday 14th July. From the early success of their debut “Flaws” which garnered over 250,000 views on Youtube and has been treated to scores of covers by performers around the world, Bastille have gone from strength to strength with a run of sold-out shows in 2011 and appearances at many major festivals. Organisers are very excited to have this fantastic new band at GuilFest for the first time and are expecting them to become one of the major success stories of the coming years.

The Vive Le Rock Stage sees the one and only Glitter band performing on Saturday 14th July, with all-female rockers The Priscillas, and original 1970’s mod revival group The Chords both appearing on Sunday 15th July.
The Kane FM presents Funky End Dance tent sees two great new acts confirmed for Saturday 14th July – Young Brighton based UK producer Dismantle and dubstep trio Millions Like Us.
Lastly, the hilarious comedy spoof act Take Fat will hitting The Main Stage on Saturday 14th July. Gary Lardo, Jason Chocolate Orange, Howard McDonalds, Mark Growin and Blobbie Williams will be performing their special medley of Take That songs; A stunning live show, faithfully reproducing hit after hit, like you’ve never seen before – complete with “phat” dance routines and spectacular visuals.
