The UK’s biggest dance event MOVE IT is set to flip, waltz, pop and rock its way back to London between 10 and 13 March 2011.Taking place at Olympia and now in its 6th year, MOVE IT attracts over 20,000 dance fans from all corners of the globe over three energetic and entertaining days.

Featuring live performances, dance classes, top exhibitors, freestyle stages, competitions, masterclasses, auditions and interviews there’s something for everyone and this year’s show has been re-vamped so you can really make it your own.
Whether it’s ballroom, ballet, hip hop or cha cha – MOVE IT offers you the chance to create your ideal day of dance.

DANCE STARS! As big fans of MOVE IT, one of Britain’s most famous dance crews FLAWLESS- stars of smash hit movie StreetDance 3D & Britain’s Got Talent, are back with their own ‘Chase The Dream’ feature. The lads will be holding live auditions for budding stars, all participants will receive individual FLAWLESS feedback – with some lucky contestants winning the chance to perform with FLAWLESS live on stage!



Exclusively for MOVE IT, ‘Got To Dance’ 2010 superstar, AKAI will be creating a fresh new jaw-dropping performance guaranteed to make crowds go wild! One lucky competition winner will also have the chance to meet AKAI and get some top dance tips.

ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS – This year, even more dance experts will be on hand to offer ‘taster’ lessons for all abilities in the latest dance crazes including hip hop, latin, ballroom, ballet, flamenco and salsa – to name a few.

EXTENDED MASTERCLASSES! The Harlequin Masterclass Studio is a popular dedicated intimate space for
advanced and professional dancers. The studio will host new, 1 hour classes taught by some of the UK’s premiere dance teachers and companies.

BALLET ROCKS! In collaboration with ballet blog The Ballet Bag, MOVE IT will showcase this latest ballet evolution with exclusive dance performances mixing ballet and indie rock music, ballet & the blogosphere discussions and workshops exploring the new face of ballet in the UK.

MOVE IT FOR MEN – due to high visitor demand, MOVE IT has significantly increased dance activity for a male
audience, and will highlight spectacular dance from male dancers from the all male Ballroom World to performances from London dance group STRIKE as well as contemporary dance performers from Srishti.

MAOAM FREESTYLE STAGE – This is THE place to show off your dance skills and check out the latest, flips, spins and crazy moves. Just plug in the tunes, express and entertain the crowds!

STREET DANCE XXL CHAMPIONSHIPS – for the first time this year, contestants can qualify for the annual Street Dance XXL Championships Finals. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase and witness the UK’s best dance talent with successful entrants securing their place at the grand finals in July 2011.



SOFA SESSIONS – Expect some fantastic celebrity appearances and insightful interviews with the stars and experts of the dance world covering topics as vast as nutrition, health, injury prevention and careers advice.

SHOP ‘TIL YOU DROP – Visitors can catch a glimpse of the latest trends and fashions in dance by heading to the fantastic fashion show. Shoppers will then be able to head to the wide range of stands at the show to pick up the hottest fashions first.
