Festivals 2014 – Best of the Rest

Festival season is in full swing.  Glastonbury, IOW Festival, Wireless and many more have come and gone, but there is much more still to be enjoyed.  The likes of Lovebox, V Fest, Shakedown and more.
Every year the Mixup are at all the top festivals.  With that experience we thought we’d bering you our top 5 picks for the remainder of summer 2014:

Secret Garden Party 24 -27 July
SGP is one of the most popular festivals among seasoned festival goers. Known not only for the amazing acts that perform, but as much for the amazing décor, diverse exhibits and awesome structures.  This year’s act include, Public Enemy, Clean Bandit, Kate Miller-Heidke, Little Dragon, The Skints, Foreign Beggars, Fat Freddy’s Drop.  Tickets are now officiually sold out, so if you can’t get hold of any we highly recommend booking this one early for next year. www.secretgardenparty.com

Nozstock  1 – 3 Aug
Tickets are still available for this smaller sized but absolutely awesome festival.
Fun Loving Criminals, Andy C and G.Q, Roots Manuva, Friction and many more will be performing.  The favourite small festival of many, Nozstock has a focus on renewables and creates and amazingly fun and friendly atmosphere. www.nozstock.com

V-Festival 16-17 August
V-Fest has become one of the most important festivals over the years and produces a stellar lineup of contemporary stars along with legends alike.  Mixing it up on stage this year will be the like of Justing Timberlake, Ed Sheeran, The Killers, Rudimental and Tinie Tempah to Blondie, Nile Rodgers, The Wailers, Sophie Ellis Baxter, The Human League and much more.  And there’s something for dance music fans too, how about Alesso, Chase & Status, Jessie Glynn and Sub Focus. SW4 – 23 & 24 August 
Non camping  two day festival for EDM fans.  Expect the biggest dance DJs to be spinning their stuff at SW4.  Including Deadmau5.  Set in Clapham common, so extremely easy to reach, SW4 is the premier dance music festival in the UK. www.southwestfour.com

Bestival- 4 – 7 September
One of the last major festivals to take place, Bestival  (as always) are bringing you a stellar line-up this year including:  Outkast, Annie Mac, Chic Featuring Nile Rodgers,  Chase & Status, Beck, Disclosure, Major Lazer, Busta Rhymes, Paloma Faith, Basement Jaxx, London Grammar, Sam Smith, Clean Bandit. And that doesn’t even account for half.  Set in the Isle of Wight Bestival is to many the closing encore of the festival season and with a consistently epic line up, year after year it’s easy to see why. www.bestival.net
