Showcasing some of the scene’s most iconic figures, Metrofest is London’s first ever festival dedicated to R&B and Hip Hop culture, and is set to debut at Trent Park on Sunday 8th August 2021

Hosted by Capital Xtra Reloaded, Metrofest’s Main Stage lineup reads like an R&B hall of fame, with legendary rapper Fat Joe topping the bill. Responsible for iconic tracks like ‘What’s Luv’ ft. Ashanti and Ja Rule, and collaborations with the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Eminem, Lil’ Wayne and Nelly. His headline set at Metrofest will be his UK festival debut and the only chance to see him perform in the country this summer.

Fat Joe is joined by an era-defining selection of live performers, that shaped the face of 90s R&B and Hip Hop as Blackstreet (No Diggity), Mya (Ghetto Superstar) and Eve (Love Is Blind) bring the best of the USA to sunny Trent Park for an unforgettable celebration.

Bringing smooth and soulful grooves to the programme, R&B heavyweight Jon B’s live performance will include material from his iconic albums ‘Cool Relax’ and ‘Pleasures U Like’. With three no.1 studio albums under his belt and smash-hit single ‘Anonymous’, Bobby V also promises something special for his set whilst Wayne Marshall, Horace Brown and Terri Walker add their hit anthems to the summer soundtrack.

Complementing the plethora of main stage live performances, DJ sets will come from veteran spinner, Collin Francis, Mike Panteli and Firin Squad, as legendary mic man Fatman Scoop steps up as stage host, keeping the good times rolling all day long.

Tony Touch takes top billing at the Flava Of The Month stage. As one of the genre’s most prominent DJs, Tony is renowned for his impeccable selection and ability to deliver unforgettable dancefloor moments. Also on the lineup, British hip-hop maverick Skinny Man will perform tracks from his timeless classic ‘Council Estate of Mind’, whilst Funky DL will also perform live. The programme wouldn’t be complete without South London legend DJ 279, DJ Bizniss, Uncle Ju Ju and the unbeatable energy of freestyler extraordinaire, Mystro aka MysDiggi, plus Hip Hop Karaoke will be inviting festival-goers to join the performance.

For high-octane sessions and jump-up sounds, head to the Jungle Mania arena where Grooverider, Brockie, DJ Rap, Kenny Ken, Nicky Blackmarket, Jumpin Jack Frost, Inter and Twister will be joined by MCs Skibadee, Det, Ragga Twins, Fearless and Navigator.

Away from the dancefloors, Metrofest’s Comedy Shack unites some of the UK’s finest stand-ups with Richard Blackwood, Nabil, Dizzle, Kat, Thanyia Moore, Kevin J, Jeff Innocent and more confirmed.

With two special guest headliners still to be announced, DLT will showcase fresh sounds from rising R&B and Afrobeat artists AAA, RBC, Buttery Hotness and Tiny Man whilst East London party-starters, Raindrop, host a stage of high vibes, with sets from DJ Jukess, Shaq Five, DJ Day Day, Max Denham, Skaps and more.

Completing the lineup, Love Story takes control in the VIP arena with UKG from DJ Charlesy, Masterstepz, O’Neil McDowall, Joe Lobel and a special guest still to be announced.

With so much on offer, Metrofest’s debut promises an unforgettable fun-fuelled day, with a hefty portion of nostalgia and plenty of good-time vibes.
