Oasis, Morocco’s leading electronic music festival, unveils the first acts lined up for 2016, including Dixon, Derrick May, Tale Of Us, The Black Madonna, Bicep and Hunee.

Taking place from 16-18 September 2016 at the luxurious Fellah Hotel, just a short distance from the heart of vibrant Marrakech, Oasis offers the perfect fusion of festival and holiday. Balmy, sun-kissed days and star-lit nights are soundtracked by the finest house, techno, disco and electronica artists across two main stages, with ample time for guests to relax and unwind in the idyllic surroundings of the Fellah, explore the city’s bustling medina or simply take in the spectacular views of the nearby Atlas Mountains

Dixon, co-founder of the formidable Innervisions label, will make his Oasis debut this year! The German producer’s distinctive sound and unwavering popularity has seen him take the #1 spot in the Resident Advisor DJ Poll three years in a row, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for the festival’s opening night. Oasis also welcomes Detroit’s techno soul innovator and Transmat Records label head Derrick May. Responsible for a legion of influential tracks, May has been an unstoppable force behind the turntables for over two decades and his set is guaranteed to be a true festival highlight.

The atmospheric Desert Oasis and Bamboo Arena stages will also play host to Italian duo Tale Of Us, Chicago’s The Black Madonna and Amsterdam resident and rising star Hunee, along with two of Ireland’s most treasured selectors, Belfast Boys Bicep and Permanent Vacation mainstay Mano le Tough. With Dusky, Jennifer Cardini and Objekt also confirmed and lots more acts still to be announced, the second edition of Oasis is shaping up to be one of this summer’s must-visit festivals! Watch out for more acts to be announced soon…

Aside from the extensive music programme there is much to explore on-site, with inviting teal-blue stage-side pools, daily yoga, massage and wellness activities and deliciously tasty authentic local street food, not to mention a souk, henna body art and more. With the centre of Marrakech just 10 minutes from the festival it’s also the perfect opportunity to explore the city’s rich Berber, Arabic and Moorish culture, pink-hued historic buildings, lively souks, indulgent Hammams and vast desert landscapes.

Find your Oasis this summer. Early Bird tickets priced at just £110, and packages starting from £170 (including hotel and festival wristband), are on sale now at theoasisfest.com.

“Oasis is exactly what a dance festival should be: fun, inclusive, gorgeous, and perfectly curated.
It was prepared with dancers in mind.” – Thump

“If electronic music is ever going to really take off in a country like Morocco, then it’s going to need more events like this that put it and its DJs on the clubbing map. Expertly organised, easy-going and fun, Oasis felt like a strong step in the right direction.” – Resident Advisor

“Just like the Moroccan cuisine, Oasis has expertly combined all the ingredients
to become world famous.” – Mixmag

“For those looking for the sun soaked, laid-back festival experience, Oasis comes highly,
highly recommended.” – Crack Magazine

“Far from being a mirage, Oasis Festival is the promise of a future” – Agoria

Jago

grew up in Camden, so it’s safe to say that there is not much this boy has not seen. He is hard to shock yet easy to please, armed with an eclectic taste in music and film. Jago is always ready to tackle anything from Punk Rock, D & B, House to Opera. This makes him a great person to send out into the thick of things. He has a passion for cinematography and fine dining and constantly tries to mix the two. If he is not dancing, eating or watching a movie then he is probably working his way through a bottle of champagne with the local talent. HE NEVER SLEEPS!
