Arts House Festival : A lovely London festival

On Saturday 11th August, at the height of the sunniest month of the year, Artwork presents Art’s House, A Lovely London Festival.

With humble beginnings, Art’s House has grown from an intimate rave in a stranger’s front room, to one of the most fun-filled parties to come out of the capital. From The Nest to XOYO to Brixton Electric to Pikes Ibiza to touring clubs across the UK, Artwork has built on Art’s House year-on-year and he’s about to take it even further with his very own festival.

The one and only DJ Harvey will be joining Artwork as his special guest for what will be the most fun you can possibly have at a festival this summer.

The meeting of two British DJ legends can only mean great things and after a summer spent holding down a residency each at the iconic Ibizan institution that is Pikes, the pair will finally give the people what they want. They’ll come together for the first time as two of the finest selectors of house and disco in the game, soundtracking your entire day.

Taking over Three Mills Island, a lovely patch of greenery sat between Bow and Stratford, this will be the biggest Art’s House yet. Enclosed by the winding Lee Valley River with an incredible industrial backdrop, this is the ultimate East London spot to throw a big ol’ outdoor party.

As always, Art’s House will be decked out to the rafters. Expect Art’s vivacious troupe of dancers, mouth-watering street food, cold craft beers, summer inspired cocktails and a horde of home comforts only Artwork can provide (his front room sofa being one of them)… You can grab a VIP ticket if you like. It will be a cosy little area with some posh loos, a cocktail bar and some comfy seating.

AFTERPARTY

Following a day in the sun soundtracked by DJ Harvey and Artwork, the London legend is reuniting the Big Apple Records crew once again, this time taking over East London spot E1 with a slew of dubstep originators. After the sensational success of Artwork’s Big Apple Records reunion at XOYO in March, he’s doing it all over again, this time in an even bigger way.

The lineup won’t be revealed until the day but if the last one is anything to go by (Magnetic Man reformed with Skream and Benga, Wiley, Coki, Loefah, Plastician and Chef were all in attendance), then you’re in for something real special.

E1’s second room will play host to Art’s House as we continue what we started during the day.

Everyone’s welcome at Art’s House.

Jago

grew up in Camden, so it’s safe to say that there is not much this boy has not seen. He is hard to shock yet easy to please, armed with an eclectic taste in music and film. Jago is always ready to tackle anything from Punk Rock, D & B, House to Opera. This makes him a great person to send out into the thick of things. He has a passion for cinematography and fine dining and constantly tries to mix the two. If he is not dancing, eating or watching a movie then he is probably working his way through a bottle of champagne with the local talent. HE NEVER SLEEPS!
