TOBACCO DOCK, LONDON

31 OCTOBER – 2 NOVEMBER 2019

BBC Music Introducing LIVE has today unveiled even more details of what’s to come at this year’s event. Taking place across three days from 31 October – 2 November 2019 at Tobacco Dock London, tickets are on sale now viawww.bbc.com/introducing.

BBC Music Introducing LIVE is one of the UK’s biggest, fastest-growing and most exciting music industry events, supporting and inspiring the next generation of industry leaders, artists and creatives.

The headline speaker for BBC Music Introducing LIVE 2019 has been announced this morning. At this year’s event, Dirty Hit boss and manager of The 1975, Jamie Oborne will take part in a headline talk in the Discovery Theatre presented by Spotify, hoping to inspire the future music industry with his experiences, advice and taking questions. There’ll be plenty to discuss, following two BRIT Award and two Ivor wins for The 1975 this year alone, the release of their third no.1 album last year and a huge UK arena tour.

There have been even more BBC DJs announced today for BBC Music Introducing LIVE 2019. New additions include BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac, Danny Howard and Phil Taggart, BBC Asian Network presenter Bobby Friction, and… for the very first time at BBC Music Introducing LIVE, the legendary dance music icon Pete Tong joins us, with some very special guests.

Attendees will be able to join unmissable industry sessions and panels as top names from brands, record labels and streaming services gather to offer careers guidance, including information about entry level employment schemes in their organisations, insider knowledge and invaluable advice, along with behind the scenes insights for taking those next steps in music.

Today, BBC Music Introducing LIVE is delighted to reveal that MTV, Transgressive Records, Universal Music UK, Beggars Group, Warner Records and DJ Mag will all be in attendance for inspiring sessions and panels at this year’s event – giving you a chance to ask in the know questions about the areas of the music industry that interest you the most.

Toby L, Transgressive Records Co-Founder commented“The inaugural BBC Introducing Music LIVE event was one of the most inspiring, enriching and fulfilling gatherings we’ve had the pleasure to partake in. Every genre, sensibility and background was taken into consideration, combining to produce an inclusive and practical inside track to one of the most opaque and complex businesses on the planet. Whether you’re an artist, a burgeoning music mogul, or someone that’s simply curious to learn more about the inner machinations of the music industry, it’s an absolute must-attend.”

Plus, there will be even more opportunities for musicians to perform at BBC Music Introducing LIVE in 2019, with details on how to get involved released soon. Attendees can also expect surprise performances from top UK and global artists, live showcase slots and surprise guest appearances across the three days. Last year, there were secret surprise performances from the likes of Clean Bandit, Tom Grennan, David Gray and Declan McKenna and huge live music events each evening, with Ben Howard and Deadmau5 taking to the stage to perform. Plus, there will be opportunities for emerging, up-and-coming artists to perform at the event too.

BBC Music Introducing LIVE is the ultimate event for young people looking to start or develop their career in the music industry. Hosted by BBC Music and supported by the UK music industry, more information can be found at www.bbc.com/introducing

Jago

grew up in Camden, so it’s safe to say that there is not much this boy has not seen. He is hard to shock yet easy to please, armed with an eclectic taste in music and film. Jago is always ready to tackle anything from Punk Rock, D & B, House to Opera. This makes him a great person to send out into the thick of things. He has a passion for cinematography and fine dining and constantly tries to mix the two. If he is not dancing, eating or watching a movie then he is probably working his way through a bottle of champagne with the local talent. HE NEVER SLEEPS!
